拍品描述: Early 18th century Kaitag hand embroidered pillow cover. The rare 18th century or earlier textile is from the Montauk, NY estate of a Metropolitan Museum donor. From the same estate as the Kaitag embroidery we sold in earlier 2013 and 2015 sales. The design features florals and crescent moon highlighted with gold and silver thread. Appears to have stylized Arabic writing in the four corners. Good condition, area of chain embroidered trim is loose. Measures 16.8 x 16.5 inches.
