The hem of the luminous Madonna figures robe appears to be stylized Cyrillic script. It may very well be an artist's signature. Oil on wood panel. Good condition, four thumbprint-size touch ups and light touch up around frame edge. Painting measures 31.8 inches high x 25.3 inches wide. Gilt frame measures 41 inches high x 34 inches wide.
