拍品描述: Lacroux, J. and Detain, C. Constructions en Briques. La Brique Ordinaire au Point de Vue Decoratif portfolio book. A rare copy of one of the finest books on traditional brick construction and brickwork. The volume is richly illustrated with 19th century original architectural renderings and architecture chromolithographs and provides valuable historical information on classical bricklaying and masonry techniques while introducing contemporary design. Boards are crimson pebble-grained morocco with gilt lettering, hinges and corners taped (18.1 inches high x 12.75 inches wide). A 19th century folio volume of 54 richly illustrated chromolithograph plates (missing numbers 7, 12, 18-20, 24, 25, 32, 36, 43, 54, 56, and 66) with some foxing or spotting (9.5 inches high x 14.6 inches wide). Published by Ducher et Cie., Paris, 1878.
