A percussion box-lock pocket pistol19th centurywith bottom-strung bayonet, chequered grip, overall length 20cmSold as an exempt item under Section 58 (2) of the 1968 Firearms Act, to be held as a curiosity or ornament.Condition report: Action in working order but very stiff, both hammer and trigger take some force to engage. The bayonet has a slight wobble to either side and no longer retains a fixed position when sprung. The barrel, hammer and frame has patches of rust, there are some score marks to the top of the barrel and one side of the lock plate has been replaced. Hammer retains original fish engraving. There are knocks to the bottom of the butt, some minor sections of loss to the grip finish and a small chip near the frame.
