拍品描述: The Nephrite jade carved in form of a horse laying on its foot in relaxing position facing on its back, its mouth holding a branching sacred LingZhi fungus; while a monkey climbed on the hip. Displayed upon carved hardwood stand.
The jade shows even tone with grayish-celadon tinge iridescent and moist milky appearance.

LOT NOTES:

The form of monkey (hou) on top (Shang) of a horse (ma) referred as MaShang FengHou, May you immediately be appointed a high ranking position. The horse (ma) is one of the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac and symbolizes speed, power and perseverance.
The horse is usually depicted as the bearer of good things.
