拍品描述: Exceptionally precise and finely drawn hanshita-e. Dominant in the sheet is a standing man in noble, courtly robes, letting his tachi sword swish down on a man kneeling in front of him. The attacker wears long wavy hair, royal head covering and cloud ornament of his clothing. The kneeling man is in contrast very simply dressed. The theme of this depiction is namely unknown to us. Left below is the finely written signature Shunsai Toshimasa zu 春齋年昌圖. Also Toshimasa was a student of Taisho Yoshitoshi. FORMAT 38 x 27 CM From the collection of a well-known London art dealer
