Hanshita-e of the series “The Handling of Love with Musical Accompaniment“ - Ongyoku koi no ayatsuri 音曲恋の操. Approx. 1802
The quality of this drawing by hand is primarily determined by the sensitive, confidently placed lines, particularly the facial features. The lady Okoma with big stacked hairstyle, Saizaburo shows a very similar expression resp. drawing of fine details in the face, his nose a trace more powerful, altogether a nuance more masculine, which looks astounding. The patterns on the wall in the foreground were only slightly suggested, while in print repeatedly executed.
