拍品描述: QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)"The stone is finely carved to one side with a smiling boy pointing at a flying bat. The other side is carved with a stylised shou roundel above a shaped cartouche. The jade is of an even white tone with some snow inclusions.2 1/2 in. (6.3 cm.) long; Please note this lot is the property of a private individual.; ProvenanceAcquired in the mid-20th century in Asia, then by descent within the family."The boy and bat to one side of the current plaque represent a wish for good fortune and allude to a wish for male descendants. The Chinese word for bat, fu, is a homophone for good luck and happiness.
