拍品描述: head, 19th century or earlier, the black stone tomahawk head with polished surfaces, inscribed on paper label 'American Indian Tomahawk', 12cm x 5.5cm, the dark stone deer skinning knife inscribed on paper label 'Indian knife for skinning deer', 12.2cm x 4cm, the grey stone axe head inscribed on paper label 'Indian Axe Canada', 16.5cm x 6.5cm, (3). Provenance: James Ewing Somerville (1843-1923) who had a second home in Menton, South of France and would visit Ventimiglia in Northern Italy to attend "Roman sales" in the period circa 1880-1900.
