Northern Wei and Eastern WeiThe first standing four square on a rectangular base, modelled with the head held erect and a curly mane of hair, carrying a large bulging pack over the saddle with vessels a fish and game suspended from the straps; the second smaller caparisoned Bactrian painted in red and pale orange pigments.The largest 27.5cm (10.7/8in) high. The Professor Conrad Harris Collection of Early Chinese Art, formed in the late 1990's to early 2000's.The result of Oxford thermoluminescence test number C103h13 (9 April 2003) is consistent with the dating of this lot (Northern Wei unpainted camel).
