拍品描述: A painted pottery mythical beast Six DynastiesThe beast modelled standing four-square with the head lowered, three pointed horns extending from the head and neck, with muscular haunches and cloven hoofed feet planted wide apart, the long sinuous tail curling upwards, three circular bosses applied along the spine, much of the white pigment remaining. 30.5cm. (12in) long. 注脚 The Professor Conrad Harris Collection of Early Chinese Art, formed in the late 1990's to early 2000's.Provenance: Berwald Oriental Art, 10 September 2001 (invoice), label.The result of Oxford thermoluminescence test number C101u75 (21 August 2001) is consistent with the dating of this lot.
