The toad gama is a long life symbol and stands above all in connection to the immortal hermit Gama Sennin, always seen in the company of his toad. In this netsuke, it is nicely formed with warty skin; head with big, black inlaid eyes - very typical and spirited. Good polish, himotoshi on bottom through back body and signature between I-KO 一 光 .
