Jade. China, presum. late Qing-Dynasty (1644-1911)
Tall, slender cong with four levels in miniature size crafted in the style of an archaic chain link. Ribbed, ground zones, above are the well-known circular eyes of "faces of the gods", however here more decorative. Vertical continuous grommet tunnel to the center is reworked and with a step. The color of the jade is milky, light green with somewhat darker as well as whitish areas on the surface reflecting mineralogical ageing.
