Blue-white porcelain. China, Qing Dynasty, 19th cent.
This covered dish presents an unusual, irregular, lightly oval form. Traditional Shanshui painting dominates the inner surface, as also seen on the domed lid. This shows, too, a many-lobed contour featuring an ovoid knob that obviously depicts a soft, roundly washed rock. All borders with line and wave patterns.
