Copper alloy with enamel cloisonné. China, Qing Dynasty, 19th cent.
Two-part hammered vessel in archaic style on three legs and with notable flaring handles. All of these extending parts were separately crafted and attached. The decor in enamel cloisonné is richly diverse in design and offers a mixture of diverse blossoms and vines, geometric motifs, variegated taotie masks as well as two human figures performing on the inside of the handles. The main theme on the body is composed of two scaly, fiery dragons and flaming pearls between them, patina. 古式琺瑯合銅大罐。中國,清代,19世紀。高43厘米,直徑47厘米。
