Late 19th to early 20th century, American. Each chair with horizontal crest above a foliate scrolling rectangular panel carved in deep relief, joined to square styles with back-swept ears continuing to back-swept rear legs. The down-swept arms continuing to cylindrical fluted ring-turned supports, centering a trapezoidal caned seat with fluted seat rails. The frontal legs swelled, reeded, and ring-turned taper to pointed feet. The chairs of pegged construction throughout. Chairs now have custom C cushions fitted to each. Chairs have been professionally restored and polished, seats recently re-caned, some looseness to joints of chairs. Overall: 35" tall x 23" wide. Seat height: 17".
