Late 18th century, England. In two parts, each section with D-form single board hinged top, original brass latch, joined to a ring-turned pedestal raised on four down-swept reeded molded legs, terminating in original brass-capped casters. Accompanied by four brass fasteners. Table is structurally sound, early strapping on underside of each pedestal, stable legs have no restoration or repair. Table has been clean and polished in the past but retains good mellow color and patina. Size: 28 - 1/2" tall, 47" wide, 53 - 1/2" long. Leaf: 23 - 1/4" wide. Overall length open: 76 - 3/4".
