拍品描述: Early carved ancient Greco-Roman marble female head with hair parted and gathered into a chignon at the back of the neck. Appears to be very old may and we believe it to be ancient Greek or Roman. The marble head is heavy in weight. The arrangement of the hair and the soft facial features would suggest that this is the goddess Aphrodite. No base. Good condition, slight wear on tip of nose. Measures 7 inches high x 4.5 inches wide.
