German 19th century Schoenau & Hoffmeister doll. The doll is dressed in period vibrant silk Jester costume. Has mechanical arms that are activated by pushing on a springe tab on back. Paperweight glass eyes, open mouth and teeth with carved wooden arms and legs painted white and black. No wig. Impressed with Schoenau & Hoffmeister star mark on reverse of head. Eyes are set and do not close. Good condition. Measures 8.5 inches long from head to toe.
