拍品描述: An Extremely Rare And Important SWEDISH SILVER JEWELRY BOX WITH ENGLISH ENAMELED PLAQUE, The box maker's mark of G. A. Dahlgren, 1924, apparently Malmo, the plaque signed VARLEY for Fleetwood Varley. Rectangular with partly bowed sides, with hammered finish, on four bun feet, with hinged partly raised cover, rosewood insert lid and base, the shoulder and plaque surround flat-chased and engraved with running blossoms on matting, the plaque depicting a hilly early fall landscape, would make a monumental addition to any fine household or collection. - SIZE: 6-1/4in. long, 5in. wide, and 3-1/2in. high (15.8cm., 12.7cm., and 9.0cm. respectively). - WEIGHT: 931.8 Grams. / 30 Troy Oz. - CONDITION: Small chip to the plaque upper left corner, some crazing to the plaque glaze finish, natural vintage split to the rosewood interior, otherwise in excellent working condition. - NOTE: Email us for additional hi-res pictures.
