A stupendous 19th Century French Bronze Hunting Scene Mantle Clock, last quarter of the 19th century, chimes on the half and on the hour, white Roman numeral dial with open work clover hands. The top of the featuring an impressive bronze scene depicting rider on horseback and his trusty hunting dogs in full stride over the crest of the hill perusing the huge 12 point buck, the bronze work in the scene is of a rich dark brown patina of super high relief and detail with a visually stunning silhouette, the lower portion of the clock is compromised of gilt bronze and marble and is a rich flowing profusion of flower foliate centered with hanging quail, fox and pheasant. This massive clock would make an impressive gift or addition any fine household or collection.
