Chinese bronze cast unto a square baluster shape form, wide and angled shoulder tapered toward prominent neck leading to a banded rim, raised upon a splayed foot base. The vase characterized with four Fu bat masks applied on the collar. With four flanges everted on the square domed lid and body, terminating above the foot, dividing the vessel unto eight symmetrical panels. The exterior delicately decorated in variegate archaic auspicious patterns simulating taotie masks. The vessel with an overall mottled milky-green patina and some encrustation. The wine vessel gorgeously displayed upon a carved wooden circle stand over tripod low legs. Provenance: Buckhead - Atlanta private collector
