拍品描述: An antique Chinese archaic bronze covered censer in form of bulbous vessel raised on splayed foot base, with dome lid and two animal mask applied on the collar. The exterior with repeating interlocking pattern of leiwen and ruyi simulating the taotie mask. With four flanges everted on the domed lid and body, terminating above the foot, dividing the vessel unto four symmetrical panel. The vessel with an overall mottled milky-green patina and some encrustation. The wine vessel gorgeously displayed upon a carved wooden circle stand inside a large japanese wooden box.
