18TH/19TH CENTURY 清中期 石青緞地綉博古圖鏡框 of rectangular section, the ground of midnight blue worked with metallic gilt wrapped threads and silk floss in a palette of variegated blues to show various antiquities, flower vases, and auspicious symbols organized vertically around a central lotus head surrounded by a stylized keyfret frame. The embroidery is largely worked with satin stitches and couched threads, with needleloop stitches rendering the texture of a Buddhas hand citron and detailing flowerheads. Visible height 55 1/2 x width 19 in., 141 x 48.2 cm.

Payment in U.S. dollars may be made with cash; bank check or cashier’s check drawn on a U.S. bank; money order; or wire transfer unless other arrangements are made with Leslie Hindman Auctioneers, Inc. Leslie Hindman Auctioneers, Inc. reserves the right to hold merchandise purchased by personal check until the check has cleared the bank. The purchaser agrees to pay Leslie Hindman Auctioneers, Inc. a handling charge of $50 for any check dishonored by the drawee.
