Austrian Silver Chain bottle from a show credenza modelled on the 17th and 18th centuries. — Viennese silversmiths L. Jarosinski & J. Vaugoin, 20th century. Spherical-bellied form over a round stepped foot, on the shoulder two applied Bacchus mascarons, through silver. Stamped on the bottom with the company name, the addition ''hand-forged'', the goblet symbol and fineness ''925''. H. 32 cm; 1.530 g. - Minimally dented. - Silver objects of all kinds were a central part of courtly representation in the form of elaborate show buffets in separate display rooms and also served as a state reserve that could be minted in times of need. // Kettenflasche aus einer Schaukredenz nach Vorbild des 17. und 18. Jh. — Wiener Silberschmiede L. Jarosinski & J. Vaugoin, 20. Jh. — Kugelbauchige Form über rundem getrepptem Fu?, an der Schulter zwei aufgelegte Bacchusmaskarons. Silber. Am Boden gestempelt mit Firmennamen, Zusatz "handgeschmiedet", Kelchsymbol und Feingehalt "925". H. 32 cm; 1.530 g. - Minimal gedellt. - Silbergegenst?nde aller Art waren in Form aufw?ndiger Schaubuffets in eigenen Schaur?umen zentraler Teil der h?fischen Repr?sentation und dienten ebenso als Staatsreserve, die in Notzeiten vermünzt werden konnte. Als Vorbild dienten wohl bereits die prunkvollen Pilgerflaschen aus dem 17. // 18. Jh., von denen sich auch ein sehr sch?nes Beispiel im Grünen Gew?lbe in Dresden befindet.
