拍品描述: Fired clay. Pre-Columbian America, Lambayeque, approx. 1000 to 1400 Lentil form with conically sharp spout, from which a curved handle sticks out. On the shoulder of the corpus, encircling relief with the depiction of warriors, each with fierce expression reminiscent of a wild animal. Both hands respectively holding a big lethal club and towards the back every warrior displays a jagged band. On the grip are two three-dimensional heads - the lower one extends straight to the back and both are posed face-to-face. Dark grey tone with light age characteristicsn, tiny nick on the mouth, altogether very good condition. The Lambayeque Culture (also called Sican) experienced its peak at approx. 700 to later 14th century and was on the North coast of Peru.
