拍品描述
Lacquer technique, gold and inlay, horn. Japan, 19th cent. Three-tiered, black-brown lacquer inro with the depiction of an owl fukuro, sitting in the dark night on a branch. It is generously painted with gold and the eyes are inlaid with greenish luminous mother-of-pearl, effectively defining the bird-of-prey lurking on its victims. On the other side are trunk and branches of a willow yanagi, as well as a little fluttering bird. Traces of use. The netsuke of ivory-colored horn offers the god of fortune Fukurokuju with tall forehead. He sits with bent knees, is bearded and the eyes closed. Fukurokuju is a deity for long life, luck and wealth. Cord channel himotoshi through his body, as well another through his head. Patina, very good condition. HEIGHT INRO 7,2 CM, NETSUKE 7,5 CM From a Swedish collection
