Three-tiered inro with landscape depiction on both sides in takamaki-e relief in the art of Chines. Shanshui with water, mountains and inhabited islands. On one side is a tall watchtower, as well are huts and sailboats, on the other is a temple with a big, stone ishidoro lantern in front. In the background resp. three mountain peaks. Very well-worked takamaki-e depiction with gold, silver and red on black roironuri. Minor age damage. Inside is golden nashiji.
Spherical ojime (cord fastener) of colored glass, netsuke shows the famous founder of Zen Buddhism Bodhidharma, short in Japan Daruma, in his meditative pose, completely wrapped up because of the cold (according to the legend, Daruma spent 9 years at the wall). Ceramic with coloring, himotoshi in buttocks.
