拍品描述: Bronze. Khmer Empire, Bayon 13th cent. This smaller bronze, presented on a square base, depicts a standing devi (goddess), most probably the mother goddess Uma. In the right hand might have once been a small lotus blossom. Uma is a manifestation of Parvati and Durga, in other countries also known as Annapurna, as well as the wife of the high god Shiva. In the bronze she shows a nude upper body, big voluptuous breasts and wears a sambat with decor and fishtail pleat. Around the shoulders, on arms and ears is jewelry, on the head a diadem and cone-shaped, orderly hair ending with lotusbud. Very good original condition with consistent green patina.
