拍品描述: Bronze. Khmer Empire, Bayon 13th cent. In this very finely crafted Khmer bronze stands the Buddhist Avalokiteshvara on a plate, with broad shoulders and four arms, two of which are rudimentary. In both others are the attributes mala prayer beads and lotus bud padma. The bodhisattva stands on a square plate and is clothed only with a sambat, typically here with fishtail fold and large lotus blossom on both sides. Necklace around shoulders, diadem and tall hair bun. Very original condition, age characteristics and continuous green patina. HEIGHT 18,4 CM From an old South German collection
