Silver with filigree and coloful inlays. Tibet, 19th cent.
Particularly attractive here is the elaborate and finely worked décor on the guard and scabbard. The latter is ornated on both sides with rich floral patterns. In the center a blooming lotus flower, the vines above and below in finest filigree. The Lotus flower with turquoise, other deposits are red coral or malachite. The curved end is composed in the form of a flower, with another flower on the upper end. Along the sides knotted ribbons. The oval guard with coral pieces and turquoise. The inwardly bent hilt smooth, the blade hardened iron. Fine patina, inlaid pieces almost complete, good condition.
