A Caughley spittooncirca 1780-90of globular form with a wide rim, transfer-printed in underglaze blue with the Pleasure Boat pattern, unmarked,10.7cm high (restoration to rim)Condition report: Small section of rim has been infilled, approx 1cm x 2cm w to the printed border on the rim and then a larger section to the underside of the rim has been resprayed to cover the restoration, with some refinishing now peeling off. When viewed standing upright, the restoration is very sympathetic and is not readily obvious. No further damages or repairs
