鄭重賓 無題15號 水墨丙烯紙本 鏡片 二〇〇七年作Zheng Chongbin is a native of Shanghai and attended the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts (Zhejiang Meishu Xueyuan, after 1993 known as China Academy of Fine Art Zhongguo Meishu Xueyuan), to study Chinese painting. He taught at the same Academy four years after graduating in 1984, and in 1989 he was awarded the first International Fellowship to study at the San Francisco Art Institute, acquiring an MFA in 1991. He currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area. In San Francisco, Zheng Chongbin began exploring abstraction in his work, while still relying on the traditional Chinese painting media of ink, brush and paper. His paintings are in the permanent collection of the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, The Daimler Art Collection, the British Museum, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
