Largest is solid gold and depicts cranes amongst pine branches and with a character mark. Remaining three appear to be gold over copper. Clasp with illegible guarantee mark, possibly French. Total length 5.25". Approx. 13.05 total dwt.
Provenance Descended in the family of Woodbridge Bingham (1901-1986), a longtime professor of East Asian history at the University of California, Berkeley. He was the son of Hiram Bingham III (1875-1956), who rediscovered Machu Picchu.
