The snail crawling over a small folded lotus leaf, the shell scored with lines which were originally inked, now worn
Bears the added signature of Miwa on a piece of ivory inserted into the larger himotoshi. Circa 1800

Please note: this lot contains ivory and is therefore subject to the relevant trade restrictions in correspondence with CITES regulations. The import of ivory in to the United States has been banned.
