The two figures sprawling on the ground, the old sennin guarding the peach beneath him while the boy seems to cling to him in a manner reminiscent of the herdboy clinging to the ox in Garaku's ivory netsuke
Unsigned, late 18th century

Condition: some hairline cracks

Please note: this lot contains ivory and is therefore subject to the relevant trade restrictions in correspondence with CITES regulations. The import of ivory in to the United States has been banned.
