Champa, 14th-16th century or earlier. Each hairpin of conical shape with finely carved and neatly incised decorations towards the top and each with a skillfully carved finial depicting a different animal: a rabbit, a goat, a cat, and a dog.
Condition: One chip to the ear of the rabbit finial, otherwise in very good condition with minor traces of age and wear. Fine patina. Provenance: Ex-Collection of The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above.
