Burma, Shan state, 18th century. The necklace consisting of 25 small globular wax beads as well as two black agate pearls etched with white stripes, all held together by a red fabric string. The necklace comes from one of the many Burmese hill tribes, which exist in Burma’s Shan state to this day.
Condition: Very good condition with minor traces of age and wear. Provenance: Ex-Collection of The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above.
