Khmer Empire, late Angkor Period 12th -13th century. The stylized owl shaped vase with bulging eyes and a globular body is decorated with carved grooves to the neck and body to resemble wing feathers.
Condition: Good condition, with abrasions as well as few small chips. Provenance: Ex-Collection of The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above.
