拍品描述: Liu Jiy you (1918—1983), a native of Tianjin, an outstanding Chinese painter, a master of comic strip art, the founder of New China comic strip, Taishan Beidou, and the first person in Liantan. Known as the "sage of contemporary painting" and "Rembrandt and Michelangelo of the East", he is an accomplished master of animal painting and figure painting in the history of modern Chinese art. His freehand eagle can be regarded as the representative of his flower and bird paintings. He uses the large splash ink method to write wings and feathers. The pen is very bold and cool. Although the pen and ink is bold, the image of the eagle is very lifelike, similar to Li Kuchan and Pan Tianshou. The eagle's exaggerated and deformed painting method is very interesting.
