拍品描述: Mid-20th Century Includes an oval tray, length 18.5", a coffeepot, height 9.5", a teapot, a covered sugar bowl and a creamer. Repoussé decoration of farming, hunting, boating and court scenes. Elaborate figural handles and spouts. Unidentified maker's marks. All pieces excluding the tray marked with the letter "K" within a circle; tray with incised "BS" mark. In a fitted hardwood case. Approx. 168.8 troy oz. Provenance: Presented as a gift from the family of U Thant in 1975. The lot includes a letter signed by Thant's widow, daughter and one other. U Thant (1909-1974) was a Burmese diplomat and the third Secretary-General of the United Nations. Condition Report Tray with scattered spots of black silver rot. Coffeepot cover hinge lacking linchpin. Very little to no surface wear. Wood case with light wear. Case hardware is not silver.
