Includes an oval tray, length 18.5", a coffeepot, height 9.5", a teapot, a covered sugar bowl and a creamer. Repoussé decoration of farming, hunting, boating and court scenes. Elaborate figural handles and spouts. Unidentified maker's marks. All pieces excluding the tray marked with the letter "K" within a circle; tray with incised "BS" mark. In a fitted hardwood case.

Provenance: Presented as a gift from the family of U Thant in 1975. The lot includes a letter signed by Thant's widow, daughter and one other. U Thant (1909-1974) was a Burmese diplomat and the third Secretary-General of the United Nations.
