拍品描述: Papua New Guinea Telafomin Carved and Painted Wood Door. Of typical oval form, the upper end with engated point. Rectangular cut-out to lower center. Carved to front with geometric elements in low relief. Painted white, red and black. Mounted on a black steel base. Unmarked. Telafomin, Papua, New Guinea. Approximate date: 1910-1940. {111 1/2" H. x 20" W. x 3" D. without the base mounting. 117" H. x 24" W. x 16" D. as mounted on base.}. Tip broken off and absent, to top of point; paint absent to lower half; water stain to lower part above reticulated section.
