拍品描述: Allegoria della Terra (Allegory of Earth) unsigned coloured marbles and hardstones including lapis lazuli, alabaster and porphyry, on slate 17 ? x 23 ? in. (44 x 59 cm.) Giuseppe Zocchi’s painting Allegoria dell Terra of 1750 was reproduced in hardstone by the Florentine Grand Ducal workshops in 1752 at the request of Emperor Francis Stephen of Lorraine, and is today in the Vienna Hofburg. The present replica dates to the 20th century and is a mirror image of the original.
