拍品描述: Having finely potted in baluster shaped body, with prominent cylindrical neck further to flared rim with enclosed mouth lip, and raised on slightly concaved foot base. The main decoration depicted vivid polychrome hand painting figure of Da Mo (Bodhidharma, Buddhist monk who lived during the 5th or 6th century; Traditionally credited as the transmitter of Chan Buddhism to China, and regarded as its first Chinese patriarch). Clad on red diaphanous-sanghati, seated in royal-ease position, with open chest and belly within reddish fumes and flames background.
Banded with intrigue grisaille geometrical patterns on rim, collar, and foot base.

Mark on base, with maker's iron-red signature seal.

Dimension: 16-1/2"H x 8"Diam.
