19th centuryComprising: A substantial frieze carved and pierced to be viewed from both sides with a central flower-head flanked by a pair of phoenix, two pairs of pheasants and other birds amidst flowering peony and pomegranates bursting with seeds below a moulded architrave, (numerous damages), 320cm wide, 66cm high; A large frieze depicting meandering grape vine inhabited by tree shrews and butterflies, in two main sections, 320cm wide, 42cm high, (minor damages);A deeply carved panel featuring a pair of Buddhist lions and pup in a rocky landscape over clouds above the remains of arched section depicting tree shrews amidst fruiting grape vine, 117cm high, 97cm wide, (numerous damages and losses);A part-arch depicting fruiting vine, 117cm high, 189cm wide, (minor losses);Another part-arch with central flower-head and scrolling foliage on a diaper ground within key-fret border, 64cm high, 99cm wide, (damages and losses);Another similar with a pair of tree shrews amidst fruiting vine, 95cm high, 146cm wide, (breaks and losses);Two pairs of side brackets from arches, one featuring flowering lotus below pomegranates, 150cm high, (breaks and losses), the other one depicting bamboo, 146cm high;Together with a quantity of loose and broken parts.
