A set of six Liberty silver teaspoons with matching sugar tongs, of Medea design and attributed to Archibald Knox, cased. Hallmarked Liberty & Co Ltd., Birmingham 1924. Approximate length of spoons 4.5 (11.5cm), total weight 3.41 ozt (106.3 grams). All pieces appear in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general expected surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. Some light tarnishing. Some minor surface pitting or nicks. Slightly heavier wear around edges and some surface rubbing and slight loss of definition to areas of the terminal decoration. Spoon bowls have generally faired well, although the metal does feel a little thinner. A couple of spoons with possible small repairs at base of stem to bowl and another with deeper scratches in the same area. Sugar tongs appear in good alignment. Some light rubbing to some of the hallmarks but all are clearly legible. Case too large for spoons and is not the original.
