拍品描述: Cecil Beaton (1904-1980): Portrait of Carmel Snow in Conde Nast's Penthouse, 1040 Park Avenue at 86th Street, New York, gelatin silver print, 1928, signed in ink on print recto, the reverse with "Cecil Beaton" hand stamp; The original image was heavily retouched by Beaton to accommodate Mrs. Snow and needed to be re-photographed to hide all the cosmetic touches. Good condition. Height 10 1/2 inches (27 cm.). X width 7 inches (18 cm.). Provenance: Estate of Carmel Snow; her niece Fashion Editor Nancy White who sold this print through the pioneer photography dealer & Author Lee Witkin of Witkin Gallery circa 1970's.
