A boxwood netsuke of two rats on Daikoku's sack
By Seiyodo Tomiharu (1733-1810), Iwami Province, 1794-5An adult and young rat seated, facing each other, on the side of Daikoku's sack which is neatly tied with a cord at the neck; signed with partly illegible ukibori characters Seiyodo Tomiharu, rokujusansai chokoku, Daikoku . . . (carved at the age of 63 by Seiyodo Tomiharu, Daikoku . . . ). 5.7cm (2?in).
