Two archaistic white jade ceremonial swords
The first, thinly carved as a full sword with confronting snake pommel, with incised four-characters to the blade; the second carved as a blade with two circular openings to slot a hilt, incised to the blade with a four-character inscription.The longest: 27.2cm (10 3/4in) long (2).

Provenance: According to the collector's notes, thought to have been acquired from Schulman Coin & Mint, Inc., New York, at a sale dispersing the collection of the Howard D. Gibbs Estate in the early 1970s.
