Early 20th centuryOf flattened tear-drop shape with a lipped rim and short oval foot ring, carved in low relief, one side depicting Meng Haoran on a mule in search of the perfect plum blossom, the other with Wang Xizhi looking towards a goose held by his attendant for inspiration, the shoulders carved with mock lion mask and ring handles. 2 3/8in (6cm) high
